Ocoee Salamander (Desmognathus ocoee)
The Ocoee salamander (Desmognathus ocoee) is a small abundant species that inhabits the southern Appalachians. Coloration varies from light to dark and individuals may have red legs, red cheeks, or in some instances, both.
