  • This morning I was crouched down on the side of a trail attempting to photograph a Cat-eyed Snake (<i>Leptodeira annulata</i>), when I heard the sound of grunting and rustling leaves right behind me. I turned around cautiously, with images of angry peccaries flashing through my mind, only to find this curious female Great Currasow (<I>Crax rubra</i>) standing just a meter away from me. What a great way to start the day!
