Florida Scrub JayAphelocoma coerulescensarchbold biological station

  • Double-crested Cormorants (<i>Phalacrocorax auritus</i>) eating catfish along the famous Anhinga Trail, Everglades National Park, is a common site during the day. Stick around long for enough, and you're sure to see some fish being skewered or hauled up on the trail.
  • If you look closely you can see the bands on the legs of these Florida Scrub Jays (<i>Aphelocoma coerulescens</i>). These were birds were part of a population study being conducted at Archbold Biological Station, central Florida.
